Hello everyone who decided to read my stuff, I really appreciate it. As I didn't post anything related #TBT on Thursday I decided to make this FUNKday post also about a good oldie, what do you all think?
So maybe some of you know and some not that last year(2016) THE amazing singer, songwriter, musician, producer and some kind of revolutionist PRINCE had left us. But he will never go away from out hearts, because his music will live forever. If you already GOOGLE d who this guy is then you might want to ask me why am I speaking about him, how can he be related to funk. The answer is the most simplest-his music is pure funk, CLASSICS of funk or whatever you wanna call it. Prince(and it IS his real name) was not as other singers, a lot of things had been told about him, but he never gave up on his music. First time when I saw him I thought that PRINCE is a combination of Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury ,but only in the matter of style, but also he brought something new. And the music like this never been played.
PRINCE has a lot of released albums with tons of amazing, breathtaking and unforgettable songs. As a great example of his FUNK work I think is his most popular song Kiss. Stunning vocals that PRINCE brings there can absolutely kill you. How he sings through all song in falsetto is unbelievable and it gives song that 'cherry' so you want to listen to it closely. Speaking about listening closely, this is exactly what you should do if you decide you want to understand the real FUNK nature. It all is hidden in music, that beat, that ease, nothing too complicated. Everything is keeping the same melody which is diluted with coolest guitar play, those chords ,I definitely can say that I am in love with them. It even won't sound like guitar for you if you are not into music industry that much, but you really don't need to be to appreciate this. Song Kiss is as hot as its name, no doubt, and if you want to chill out and dance through your room, apartment or wherever, go ahead cause it definitely the rightest jam.
I hope I inspired you a bit to listen go PRINCE's greatest hits, because it is not only can help you feel the whole magic of funk, but it actually can bring your soul somewhere like New Orleans, where all the streets are filled with sound of music. If you don't believe me, then listen better to Live sessions of PRINCE to really enjoy and feel this beat. So go, click the link and loose some mind today. ENJOY!
