The February is running out and it is freezing cold here right now, so I mostly all the time feel like I am gonna run out of fuel. But I still try to manage to work and write and do other things no one knows I do ;) But enough about me, let's talk about music, right?
OOOh! I am very exited to share this with everyone who haven't already heard the NEW song by Ricky Martin Fiebre. Do you feel that it is getting hot in here? I swear, I was missing that sweet latina voice so freaking much. Even though I don't know Spanish after listening to this song I really want to learn it. Fiebre just fires everything inside me and think in everyone who heard it.
Ricky Martin one more time surprised us with a perfect combo of Latina and pop, which sounds incredible. Amazing guitar play in conjunction with rhythmic claps that resemble of flamenco and rumba-tense and flirty at the same time. My favorite part, though, is pre-chorus. This part is best show the duo of Latina and pop because of that intense guitar chord progression. Verses are mostly focused on the vocal part than instrumental, as I think. This is because Ricky through his voice show all the passion and that music only is like a bonus that spices up the motion. Fiebre has this vibe, as any Latina song has, that when you hear it your body just start moving no matter even if the meaning of lyrics is sad.
Speaking about the meaning of words that are sung. As I mentioned, I don't know even basic Spanish, only a couple words, but I still can translate it, and this is what I figured. Fiebre means fever which in the context of the whole song means the passionate love. Sounds a little bit like a cliché movie, but Ricky sings about that guy who irrevocably fell in love. Every time he sees, hears or imagines that woman he feels that heat in the body, when blood is rushing through his veins, but he is still unnoticed by that person. So we kind of wishes for that attention, because only then that fever will go away. He knows only she can cure him, but will she though?
Sure the vibe kind of changes when you start understand lyrics, and maybe it is not the piece of music that you need to dance to, or maybe this is exactly what you should do...Live while you can and enjoy that life. Maybe this is what this song is for, though the story is kind of confusing but the music makes it heated, moved and passionate. I may be mistaken, but I hope you will still enjoy that masterpiece by Ricky Martin, cause he is iconic.
