I appreciate that you read my blog, so I hope you have a great already and it only will get better during it.
This week I decided to be more romantic and get emotional. I think this is a fall's fault, but in a bad meaning of the word. This is feeling when you want to stay home and wrap yourself in a cozy blanket with a big mug of your favorite drink when it rains outside. Or rather go the park, riverside or wherever with picturesque view in a sunny day when trees wear those colorful leaves. And the song that speak to me during this a bit nostalgic mood is Getaway Car by one of the most strongest and talented singers Lea Michele.
You definitely herd her on the radio with her first album's single Battlefield, if not then take this chance and go to listen to it. But Getaway Car is something opposite, something different, something simple but so beautiful. Listening to it you can hear, mostly, only Lea's voice and piano. This is so rare in pop music nowadays to not fulfill songs with different sound effects ,but stay classy like it is just family dinner thing when you sing along etc.
This warm feeling it gives is unbelievable. Lea tried to put all her emotions to it, because this song is about her own memories, her dreams and her love. That is why when you listen to it you want to be alone or with your beloved one. For me it sounds too intimate to share with a crowd of people, who don’t really understand what it means. This is why I said it is nostalgic, you can think through all the steps you took in your past, if you want you can also cry and release your feelings and I promise no one will judge you(don’t they dare).
I believe you won't get mad with me that I let you through this. But I will not change my mind that you should listen to it. It is beautiful story, told by beautiful woman with mega-foxy-awesome voice, I promise you will fall in love with Getaway Car. So don’t waste time anymore. Go, listen and ENJOY!
