Are You Ready for Some Darkness , 'Cause I am Going to Take YOU to the Bottom of the Deep Blue

Greetings form the other side! *haha, just kidding* But ,I guess, it is appropriate right now to say, because the October is almost over and as we all know this month is popular with strange, creepy, mystical stuff and thoughts. I really do feel myself a bit like a maniac or something like that. Being blogger is difficult, especially music related blogger, because new music appears on air every 5 minutes and I feel that I need to listen to all of them and give you my opinion, but unfortunately I am not THAT powerful. There is so many songs on my playlist at the moment waiting to be explored here and the list only getting bigger and bigger, so lets pray for them to escape that Privacy prison as soon as possible.

I think this is the biggest intro I've ever written already and you are still don't have any clue what song I am going to tell you about. *this is all mischief of the underworld* Let me tell you truth about that band and song, I really didn't pick it, IT picked me. It perfectly fits in the October and Halloween mood. The duo from the Texas, named MISSIO just in May released their 1st studio album Loner, although, the band is active since 2014. I will not judge them for not dropping any other albums earlier, because this one fantastic. It contains of 11 singles and every name of it just speaks for itself. Of course, by meaning that I need to say that you need to understand that boys perform songs in electro/alternative and indie styles and all of them have the dark side with mystery inside every word.

Bottom of the Deep Blue Sea is perfectly displays every point I mentioned before. MISSIO released the music video of this single almost a month ago and speaking of the video, it is as dark as the song so hope you like it. They tried not to focus too much on the content of the shots, just like it describes what they feel and what viewers should feel listening to Bottom of the Deep Blue Sea. Opening scene shows that empty, foggy and scary cemetery-calm view as for me, minimalistic and extravagant . There also appears the lead singer, Matthew Brue, who in the beginning stays still and gives no much motion, but then the perfect stranger that he is crazy about shows up, the woman of his dreams. So the time passes by, but he still cannot know who she is and that ,kind of, pisses him off. The video really hard to explain, because everyone can see it under another content, but I try to relate it to the lyrics so it can make more sense.

As I said, MISSIO's songs have this mood so you get the feeling that you have goose bumps. What I like about this song is that even is it still connected to electro style it has more those indie-grunge and alternative vibes. Those harmonies in the beginning, piano and percussion illusion, PERFECT. It gives that tension and relaxes at the same time. You can not listen to the words closely, just listen the whole melody ,the juice it gives. I literally wanted to scream and cry and break something at the same time. It expresses just so much feeling. The other thing I also like in the Bottom of the Deep Blue Sea is the intermission & bridge. I think here they showed directly what genre do they work in. This piece of the song you hear just electro noise, when you want to close your ears because it even hurts to hear it, but then they do this amazing trick called CONTRAST. As the bridge starts they introduce piano and vocals, so transitioning starts to happen and that hurting noise becomes a soft melody. And ,I guess, with that MISSIO wanted to show the behind the lyrics plot twist.

I still have doubts about the whole meaning of the song, but I have some assumption. Maybe he tells a story about that girl he fell for, but they really don't know each other so he is searching her or, maybe, he speaks about his death and hell, and the name he cannot figure out is Devils name, or it is combination of both. I hope you will listen to it and find out the real meaning of the Bottom of the Deep Blue Sea and, please, don't be shy and share your thought with me, because I am very curious about this song.
