Spring already has sprung and artists keep blooming like artists. Sorry for cheesy line, but it is true. So many good stuff, especially indie bands release sensitive, moving, vibrating and all kind of meditations music. Gives so much energy and inspiration these gray days, before everything will be painted in colors.
One of those bands that makes your soul wake up is Ritual Talk. Band not long ago released their new song More Than I Can Mention. Ritual Talk is a Brooklyn, NY, based band that creates psychedelic indie rock, which is something new and extraordinary for me to hear and experience, and I am very much pleased with it.
More Than I Can Mention was released this year and is available at every music platform. For me this song is a compilation of bits of different genres, which you probably call indie in general, but this is so well seen in this particular song. In the beginning it sounds like a baby of folk and funk, which is very mind blowing experience. Then guys added some synthesizer just to tease us, but then goes the whole soul crushing noise. Noise like we used to hear when there are technical problems with equipment. Trust me, it will take you by surprise. And the cherry on the top of it all in the end-pure, moving indie rock! Such a good conclusion of the whole story, rhythmic and beautiful and with a undeniable ending.
In More Than I Can Mention Ritual Talk kind of telling a twisted story. They try to inspire that person to be happy, to never get down. Held your head up high and never look back. But the thing is that they don't see any reason to be supportive, cause looks like that girl/guy like to be that way. Be miserable, so everyone can pity them. We all know or meet that kind of people in real life, so I think everyone can understand what the band tried to say with their lyrics.
Maybe, in my conclusion, this is the reason why the song has that sound mesh up so it perfectly combines with vague mood. I really got inspired by Ritual Talk song More Than I Can Mention and once more am thankful to AlexRainBird for making me search for new music and artists more quickly. Go check Ritual Talk new song and leave some comments, so I know your opinion. ENJOY!
