Summer here and I am here too! SO many events during last weeks and a tons of great music released. If you can grab a ticket to any festival near you, do it, because you definitely want to explore new stuff than just sit at home. Speaking for myself, still looking forward to attend a fest, but not here to talk about it. Wanna share a really great, funny song from extraordinary talented artists and singers.
I always been a big fan of Pentatonix (the acapella band) and also have been aware of every band member's solo projects. This particular song called Ghost is a baby of gorgeous FRANKIE and Scott Hoying also featuring One Night. I can already proclaim it my summer hit. So fun and dancefloor material, cannot sit when it plays. Ghost has so many layers, like one big irony behind the lyrics, lots of joy in music and something old and something new in a music video.
If you would read the lyrics first you'll think that song's whole story is base on a girl, that agreed on a date with guy she would never go out, but after it she's got dumped. Sounds familiar, right? CLASSICS! But in reality turns out that everything is vice versa and dumped, pretty badly though, is a guy. I am not saying that doesn't happen in real life, but still cool see and hear about it in music.
Very nowadays vibe since FRANKIE and Scott mention a lot of hipster stuff like La Croix, being on the phone all night. Love how they sing in a very beginning the word F***, why they made that sound so sweet and innocent and rough at the same time? Need to mention that Scott's and Frankie's voices match amazingly nice, since he has that hoarse and can hit high notes , perfect balance. Sure, music has quite a bit of an autotune to create cool sounds like echo or waterdrops, but it just make Ghost vibrant. And these beats, especially the last chorus... You might know I like intriguing pauses, so this one is before the last chorus starts with thumping explosion of music and emotion too, you'll really feel that you got to jump at that moment.
Also, everyone has an opportunity to check out the music video, which is another funny part of Ghost. Guys made a reverse version of a 70's hit musical "Grease" in our days style. If you know the movie, you know that main character Sandy is a good girl and her male interest Zuko is a baddie, a gang leader. Here, in this video, FRANKIE really plays baddie and Scott is all sugary sweet(at the beginning). However, plot has been changed a bit to fit the lyrics it is still exiting to watch and also enjoy breathtaking choreography, lots of choreography. I am sure everyone might take pleasure listening to new FRANKIE and Scott Hoying's single Ghost, so check it out if you still didn't and ENJOY!
